Haute spirits mixology

IMG_0028Another creative liquid culinary creation from aviary’s haute spirits mixologists. From Chicago to London, the speakeasy has crept up on the social scene. Admittedly, every one wants to pretend we’re living in the 1920’s. Luckily for us this trend pushes the strong pre prohibition preference for full body flavors of bourbon, whiskey, scotch, brandy, moonshine (ok maybe monshine may be taking a bit too far)….With this however, so has the need to acclimatize siCocktail at the Aviaryppers to these particular tastes, and boy has it paid off. “Mixologists” in the bartending world, those who custom design drinks for you with individual pallet preference, try to cater to your every drinking whim. They take sipping booze to a whole new level. Once again, I want to emphasize Aviary’s truly creative way to personalize the cocktail making experience with drinks finished off table side. Also as you walk in from a hidden door in the meat packing district’s building, a large  glass window reveals all the mixologists at work, putting a lot of thought, time, and effort into your drink that night. This one was tea inspired and hence quick brewed in this fanciful appliance at your table. The swivel tool here? A beautifully fragrant cinnamon stick. Oh! Forgot to mention. Aviary does not allow photos, but we managed to snap these as the waitress rushed over to tell us so. Next time your feeling flashy in Chicago, step into this joint, and order something you wouldn’t normally order. It will most certainly pay off!

Looks like a magic potion to me

    • It tastes like it too. There’s nothing better than first class treatment when you’re paying first class prices any way. I definitely love this new “mixology” culture in the nightlife scene!
